Pravastatin - chybí toto léčivo českým pacientům?

Pravastatin (Lipostat®) přestal být v České republice dostupný již před delší dobou z důvodu rozhodnutí výrobce (Bristol Myers Squibb) o ukončení dovozu. V současné době u nás není registrovaný žádný přípravek s touto molekulou, v registračním řízení jsou dva přípravky – Pralip® a Pravastatin Pliva® (1). Molekula pravastatinu (obrázek 1) byla patentována v roce 1981 v Německu a v roce 1982 v USA společností Sankyo (2). Originální přípravek byl registrován FDA v říjnu 1991 (3). Je pravastatin jen jedním z řady statinů, nebo má některé vlastnosti, které mohou našim pacientům chybět?
