Maka a její účinky

Maka je rostlina velice rozšířená v oblasti jihoamerických And. Má řadu pozitivních účinků na fertilitu, metabolizmus glukózy, stres a rozvoj depresí, imunitní systém a na celou řadu dalších. Její vliv na lipidový metabolizmus jsme studovali u HHTg (hereditárně hypertriglyceridemických) potkanů. Maka signifikantně snížila hladinu LDL, VLDL i celkového cholesterolu a taktéž triacylglycerolů v plazmě, VLDL a v játrech. Maka se na základě získaných výsledků jeví velmi slibně pro pozitivní ovlivňování a prevenci onemocnění spojených s poruchami metabolizmu lipidů.
