This article summarizes contemporary oppurtunities of miniinvasive treatment of the patients with benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH). Uptodate pharmacological treatment offers to the patients good quality of life and decreased the risk of surgical intervention. Nowadays is very popular combined therapy mainly combination of alpha-adrenergic blockers with 5α-reductase inhibitors or with parasympatolytics.

Constipation is a group of symptoms affecting up to 20% of the population. When caused by a specific disease (tumour, diverticula, narrowing of the bowel or hypothyroidism), it is referred to as secondary and treated with respect to the causative agent. Primary constipation is either caused by poor motility of the large bowel (so-called lazy bowel syndrome or inactive colon) or by difficult evacuation due to an impaired defecation reflex or an anatomical obstruction in the rectal region (= terminal constipation). Influenza is highly contagious infectious disease with epidemic even pandemic features of its spread. Influenza viruses are the causes of illness divided into three types A, B and C. Exenatide

Therapy using incretin analogues changes the treatment possibilities in type 2 diabetes in a large extent. Exenatide is the first clinically used drug of this group. It is applied in subcutaneous injections twice daily. No hypoglycemic events are present and initial reports have been published about the use of exenatide in nondiabetic obese patients to reduce weight. The secretion of glucagon is modulated and the secretion of insulin is stimulated. The two main effects of exenatide are compensation of diabetes and weight reduction. There are also other effects: improvement of dyslipidemia and blood pressure reduction. Prescription is limited...

Plant substances affect elevated serum cholesterol levels by a variety of mechanisms: they reduce intestinal cholesterol and bile acid absorption, inhibit hepatic cholesterol synthesis, protect LDL-cholesterol from oxidation, and increase HDL-cholesterol content at the expense of LDL-cholesterol.

Nystatin is a well-known and long-established antifungal drug; in the Czech Republic, however, it has been available exclusively in the form of mass produced medicinal drugs, not as a substance for magistral preparation.
